Rival NPC team
my idea is that every so often if your party was in an open area with little ememies they could be ambushed a group of NPC which are called your rivals.
Each character would have their own rival who's class and/or skill set would differ depending on what class you were and where the majority of your attributes were.
For example:
If your a Warrior your rival is an assassin, if your an assasin your rival is a dervish and if your a dervish your rival is a warrior.
If you have more attributes in Prot as a monk your rival is a Boon smiter (look at GW:EN skills to see how this makes sense), if have more attributes in smite your rival is a healer monk, abd if you have more attributes in heal your rival is a prot monk.
Your rival should have high AI and be the same level as you and have a good preset build.
The way you would encounter them would be in points in explorable areas and before you fought a cutscene would pop up with the leader of the party and his rival. They would say something like this:
Before heading into an Elona Reach with my character Light Guardian Jack
Alex: "You know I didn't believe the stories about flameseekers but it seems you do"
Jack: "ALEX!"
Alex: "Did you think I would just stay in Ascalon and forget what you did."
Jack: "I told you alex I didn't think anyone was near that charr group when I fired the catapult"
Alex: "The white mantle have placed a large bounty on your head and I intend to collect it!"
*que battle and change in music*
Of course character would have different reasons to kill you depending on where you were from.
After the battle your rival will appear to be dead but he'll/she'll always come back.

Would be very very frustrating, imagine getting a nice team, and suddenly getting slaughtered because this random even occured.
But perhaps an idea for the story line.

Although it's funny having many similaritis with Pokémon, we don't need more, really.
There are some 'infamous' enemies all over the world (Verata, Galrath, Bonetti, etc...)
They cold just give them histoir, like barely surviving the protagonists, and joining focer to take revenge...
But with usual quests.

You've been playing Pokemon haven't you? Be honest.
Having the infamous guys pop up now and then would be cool, even if it is on side quests and have no direct correlation to the main story.

Actually no but I've been thinking about this for a while so I might have unwittingly related the 2 games earlier.

Agreed, it would be better for story line. Or maybe quests.

I have not been playing pokemon, I played all of them until the last Visual Boy Advance titles. And I'm not playing any more title.
Why do you think I'm here? GW is the closest PC game to pokémon ever.
